Lost articles at the terminal will be handed to the Lost property team and are updated in our Lost property database.

Claiming Lost Properties

To claim your lost article(s) kindly visit our lost property desk/ office with the following documents:

Proof of travel (Boarding Card, E-boarding Card, Immigration Stamp on Passport).

ID proof (Government-issued photo ID such as Passport, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, or Voter Card).

A detailed description of the lost item.

If claiming on behalf of someone, kindly provide these additional documents:

Photo ID of the authorized person collecting the article. A Government-authorized ID (preferably Passport/Driving License/Aadhaar Card/Voter Card) is required for verification.

Authorisation letter to claim the article. Refer to → pdf.

NOTE: For verification purpose copy of Pan Card may be requested in the absence of passport/signed ID to verify the signature of the owner on the Authorization Letter.

Lost found

Important Instructions

  • The recovered item can be claimed from the respective terminal within five days from the date/time it was deposited. If the lost property is required to be collected after the working hours are over make sure to get an appointment at least 48 hours in advance by mailing to lostproperty.dial@gmrgroup.in.
  • All the unclaimed lost and found merchandise shall be retained for a period of three months except eatable items. After this time is over, it will be disposed off as per Gazette Notification.
  • All perishable, flammable, DGR goods and SRA (Security Restricted Articles) which are removed by CISF personnel during security check are not deposited in Lost & Found Section of DIAL.
  • The lost article(s) must be claimed within 90 days from the date it is found and deposited at the Lost & Found section. Post 90 days, the article(s) may be disposed off as per Gazette Notification. Thereafter, the lost property department shall cease to entertain any claims upon the article(s).
  • The Lost & Found services of Delhi Airport comes to you without any charges. Any persons or parties claiming otherwise on behalf of Delhi Airport is unsolicited.
